The Perils of Group Judgmentalism: How Racism and Antisemitism Underpin the Democratic Party's DEI Agenda in Oregon

The Democratic Party's promotion of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) rests on a foundation of racism and antisemitism, rooted in the dangerous practice of judging humans by group identities rather than individual merit and individuality.

By prioritizing skin color, ethnicity, and minority status, DEI elevates certain groups—often "brown" or non-white—while demonizing others, fostering division and hatred. This group judgmentalism echoes the horrors of history and perpetuates harm today, as seen in Democratic politicians' attacks on law enforcement to shield illegal immigrants based on racial preferences.

The Historical and Ongoing Harm of Group Judgment

Judging people by group has led to humanity's darkest atrocities, most notably the Holocaust. The Nazis dehumanized Jews as a collective "threat," stereotyping them as inferior and conspiratorial, which justified the systematic murder of six million individuals. This wasn't about individual actions but blanket group condemnation, fueling genocide through propaganda that painted Jews as an enemy race.

Today, this same mindset drives modern antisemitism, where Jews are collectively blamed for global issues, from economic woes to conflicts in the Middle East. DEI exacerbates this by framing Jews as "white oppressors" in its oppressor-oppressed binary, sidelining antisemitism while amplifying other narratives.

Studies reveal DEI staff at universities often propagate anti-Israel rhetoric which is antisemitic, conditioning participants to view Jews as uniquely culpable. Nothing positive emerges from such group-based judgments—they only breed hate, violence, and societal collapse, as history proves.

Even seemingly benign group judgments, like vilifying entire professions or agencies, sow seeds of division. Labeling all ICE officers as "fascists" or oppressors ignores individual accountability and incites hostility, potentially leading to attacks on law enforcement and eroded public safety.

This collectivist approach mirrors the prejudices that enabled the Holocaust, where entire groups were scapegoated without regard for personal innocence.

Democratic Examples: Racism in Action in Oregon

In Oregon, Governor Tina Kotek and Senator Jeff Merkley exemplify this racist group elevation in their defense of illegal immigrants - many from "brown" communities - over law-abiding citizens. Kotek pledges to protect workers regardless of immigration status, effectively granting moral authority to groups based on minority identity.

Merkley goes further, calling ICE operations "fascism" and accusing agents of terrorizing communities through warrantless arrests and rights violations. He demands no more funding for ICE, framing their actions as lawless while pushing bills to sue agents.

By attacking ICE to shield known gang members and criminals illegally in Oregon, they elevate "brown" people based solely on skin color and group status, devaluing the safety of typical "white" Oregonians. Both Kotek and Merkley are "white" by their DEI definitions and may be exhibiting their own person feelings of "collective guilt" by being racists.

This is not compassion or justice - it's racism. Racism and antisemitism are immoral for everyone. They violates Ethical Individualism, which demands we value humans as unique beings, not as avatars of racial groups. Protecting lawbreakers, gang members or criminals due to their minority status fosters resentment and violence, just as group stereotypes fueled the Holocaust and sustain current antisemitism.

Rejecting Group Judgment for a Safer Future

Group judgmentalism offers no benefits—only hatred, division, and tragedy. The Democratic Party's DEI-driven policies, as embodied by Kotek and Merkley's actions, perpetuate this cycle, harming society by pitting groups against each other. To prevent repeats of historical horrors, we must abandon such immoral frameworks and embrace individuality. Anything less invites more violence, division and social injustice.
