Cliff Bentz Disagrees With Trump and Supports Democrats 

Oregon Republicans deserve a fearless voice in Congress—a fighter who stands tall for conservative values and refuses to back down. Cliff Bentz, Oregon’s sole Republican in Congress, is not that voice.

In a recent Oregonian interview, Bentz dismissed President Trump’s warnings about Portland, denying it was a “war zone” and rejecting the need for the National Guard to protect the city from Antifa’s violent riots. Instead, he claimed the Portland Police could handle the attacks on ICE facilities and officers, siding with his “preference” for local control over decisive federal action.

Worse, Bentz praised the judge who blocked Trump’s deployment as “excellent” and suggested Portland just needs time to “heal” from the BLM riots, echoing the same weak rhetoric as Oregon’s Democratic leaders -Senators Ron Wyden, Jeff Merkley, and Governor Tina Kotek.

These Democrats falsely accused Trump of trying to “militarize” cities, when he was working to protect federal property and ICE officers. Bentz’s alignment with their narrative betrays the conservative principles Oregon Republicans expect from their representative. Bentz’s timidity doesn’t stop there.

Intimidated by Oregon Democrats and their name-calling, he’s abandoned in-person town halls in his district, cutting off direct communication with the voters who sent him to Washington. Constituents report he’s been unresponsive, failing to follow up on their requests for help over his four years in office.

Is this the leadership Oregon Republicans need from their only voice in Congress?

The OR-2 District, Oregon’s lone Republican stronghold, demands a representative with fire in their belly - a Charlie Kirk-style fighter who will stand toe-to-toe with Democrats and defend conservative values without apology.

Oregon Republicans want someone who backs President Trump’s efforts to confront Antifa, the militant arm of the left, and protect ICE officers and federal buildings from destruction. Thousands of Portland Republicans are fed up with the violence, murder, and property damage Antifa inflicts, and they know local Democratic leaders won’t act.

They need a champion in Congress who will. It’s time to replace Cliff Bentz with a bold U.S. Marine veteran who isn’t afraid to face Democrats at in-person town halls, pledges to serve only two terms, and fights relentlessly for Oregon Republicans. OR-2 deserves a leader who won’t fold under pressure or cozy up to Democrats to be liked. We need a true conservative warrior in Congress -one who represents every Republican in Oregon with courage and conviction.
